“The Mountain I carry”

"The Mountains I Carry" is about how I've carried a piece of Tehran with me to Gainesville, a city as flat as a pancake. Growing up, mountains were always there, watching over me. I packed up these giants and brought them along with me, you can't see them, but they're here, in my daily life. I'm dragging a piece of the mountain inside my head and with my body everywhere I go.

It's more than just missing home or the view from my past, it's about how these memories stick with me, shaping who am I, no matter where I am. This is my way of keeping those mountains alive, turning absence into something you can touch. These mountains have become a metaphor for all the changes I've navigated, from the place I knew to the place I'm trying to call home.
