In Between
This piece reflects the duality of perspective, the paradox of distance and closeness. By placing two perspectives together, I create a sense of ambiguity that challenges the viewer’s sense of orientation in counter of landscape. This duality stimulates a feeling of being caught between two places. The juxtaposition of the view through the airplane's window frame and the view from above; shows the feeling of being neither here nor there. This representation challenges conventional ideas of belonging, especially in the face of relocation. Sometimes zooming in on a single moment that froze in my memory, sometimes stepping back to see the entire surroundings. At this moment, I am both connected to and distanced from the landscape I admire, caught between perspectives in a space where familiarity starts to blur and the once intimate land becomes remote and abstract.
